About Mohammad Shees

I am Mohammad Shees , in 2018, I left my textiles business, which had a turnover of 10 million rupees, to pursue my passion for English. This decision led me to take the CELTA course in November 2019. My love for English dates back to my school days, where I enjoyed speaking during assemblies and various events at Dayawati Modi Academy, Rampur, India.

My journey began in sixth grade when my English teacher, Mrs. Rituparna, introduced a rule that fined students 5 rupees for not speaking English in her class. Her gentle enforcement of this rule intrigued me and motivated me to communicate in English, even when I struggled with it. The eloquence I have today stems from that experience. From ninth to twelfth grade, my teachers—Mrs. Shaendah Hasan, Mrs. Sonali Seth, Mrs. Suman Tomar, and Mrs. Swati—encouraged me to speak on stage, shaping my confidence and teaching me the value of effective language learning approaches.

After twelfth grade, I pursued engineering due to societal and peer pressure, earning a degree in Mechanical and Automation Engineering in 2015. Though I struggled academically, those years taught me persistence and perseverance. Despite completing my degree, I felt unfulfilled and shifted my focus to my family’s textiles business from 2015 to 2019, which is now managed by my younger brother. My love for English ultimately led me to quit the business and pursue a career as an English teacher. Discovering CELTA (Certification in English Language Teaching to Adults from Cambridge) was pivotal, as it equipped me with essential teaching skills and allowed me to channel my passion into a meaningful career.

Having struggled for years without guidance, I made it my mission to help students achieve their goals, especially in IELTS preparation. Coming from a small town, I am well aware of the challenges students face when learning English, as I was in the same position a decade ago. With a CELTA certification, I have taught over 1 lakh IELTS students, making exam preparation accessible and straightforward. My mission is to help every student succeed, and I often say that whatever I am today is because of my students.
